TailTutor publishes practical, research-based dog-care guides. This page explains how we create our content and where our information comes from, so you can judge it for yourself.
How we research our guides
Every guide is grounded in publicly available guidance from recognized authorities in animal health and behavior, including the American Kennel Club (AKC), the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB), the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA), and established veterinary references. Where a guide makes a specific claim about health, nutrition, or vaccination, we link to the authoritative source so you can read the original.
Our commitment to accuracy
We aim to be accurate, clear, and genuinely useful. Guidance in dog training and veterinary care evolves, so we review and update our articles as recommendations change. If you find something that is out of date or incorrect, we want to know.
What TailTutor is not
TailTutor is an educational resource, not a substitute for professional veterinary care. Our tools and guides are general information. Your dog is an individual, and only your own veterinarian can give advice tailored to your pet. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical, dosage, or vaccination decisions specific to your dog.
